Health & Safety Memo

 CHAPTER 8  Vulnerable workers

Under health and safety law special consideration is needed for certain workers to ensure that they are not put at additional risk in the workplace due to personal factors, the work they are expected to carry out or the environment in which they work.
Specific measures are required for young persons and new and expectant mothers while they are at work. In addition, employers need to have adequate arrangements in place to ensure that other vulnerable workers are not exposed to additional risks at work.
