Food safety and hygiene training record

Food safety and hygiene training record

If you operate a kitchen you must provide your staff with training in food safety and hygiene. Use our form as a reminder of the topics to cover and to sign to confirm that it’s been done.

Why do you need it?

Having a comprehensive Food Safety and Hygiene Training Record helps you in a number of ways. It includes a detailed list of all the information to cover during training. Our format fits in with a busy kitchen environment where you may need to provide the training in several sessions. You can choose to either deliver the whole content in one hit or divide it across a few days.

Whichever approach you choose, you’ll be able to keep track of what was taught and when. It’s also useful to have on file as a record of what was covered. You can quickly check if refresher training is due, or you can supply the completed document to auditors, enforcing authorities or insurance companies.

How to use it

Our document begins with a space for you to complete the employee’s details.

There are four main sections, each covering a number of different issues such as hand washing and protecting food. Once the necessary training has occurred, both the trainer and employee will need to sign. Retain the document until the employee leaves the business. Even when refresher training occurs keep this original record along with more recent documentation.
