Driving at work - record keeping

Retaining records for a sufficient period can assist in defending claims. Although the statute of limitation period for most claims is three years, there are exceptions, e.g. relating to injuries to minors, who can claim within three years of their 18th birthday, or for those whose full extent of injury is not immediately apparent.
It is therefore best practice to keep records for three years, and to gather up applicable records in the event of any accident and then hold these with the accident record until all time limitations for legal action have passed.
