Health and safety record keeping

What is meant by record keeping?
  • Many of the regulations that are currently in force stipulate a requirement to retain records of certain health and safety activities.
  • Many of these relate to the health of employees, e.g. medical surveillance, because some medical conditions that can lead to serious ill health or even death may not manifest themselves until after much time has elapsed since the initial exposure to a harmful substance.
